I was reading a few of the end of year reviews and 2013 predictions. One that I found very interesting was the 2013 prediction of the fax machine’s demise. I personally haven’t had a fax number for close to three years, and for several more years before that my fax was mostly a dust collection device. I do find it ironic that I was asked for my fax number just this morning. The request came from a dealer salesman who has been around for a very long time. I suspect it may be a case of limited tech knowledge. The one thing the article mentioned for why the fax is even around at all anymore is that digital signatures still don’t fly in the legal and real estate markets. Personally, I don’t miss my fax number at all. I must be a trend setter, ya right!
