Happy Customer Adds a New Cogan Mezzanine Next to Their Existing One

Here is a photo gallery from the installation of a Cogan Mezzanine beside an existing Cogan Mezz at a facility just north of Boston. The end user came back to Cogan when they maxed out their existing Cogan mezzanine’s storage space and needed more.

Time was a factor since the mezzanine is being installed in front of the shipping and receiving doors and the companies busy party season is right around the corner. Cogan delivered and the end user will see no down time during their busy spring and summer party season. Two more mezzanine extensions will be completed in less critical parts of their facility in the coming weeks bringing the number of Cogan Mezzanines in this facility to five.

This job was sold by a local dealer and is being expertly installed by Trademark Installations, a key Cogan partner here in New England.

Presto Lifts Pit Mounted Scissor Lift

Some more useful information from Presto Lifts. When installing a lift in a work cell or station, Pit Mounting is the best option. After lowering the lift, it is out of the way and the area is free to use. To allow fork truck traffic you can add the optional “roll over” package to increase stability and rigidity to the unit. Platforms and turntables can be sized to the load, helping to decrease the ergonomic issue or “reach over”. Pit mounted lifts can be loaded or unloaded with a hand pallet truck, reducing the need for a forklift or ramps. Presto Lifts adheres to the ANSI MH 29.1 code which requires some form of toe protection as the lift platform descends into the pit. Shown here: Bevel Toe Guards. Simply put, the 30 degree angle built into the platform gives the worker a physical warning to move their feet from the area.

Presto Lifts: Understanding AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) Batteries

AGM style batteries are standard on many of Presto Lifts standard products*. These state-of-the-art, deep cycle, lead acid batteries provide a number of benefits.

  • Sealed, Safe and Maintenance-Free: No need to add electrolyte and will not emit gasses during normal recharging. Even if ruptured there is nothing to spill.
  • Low Self Discharge Rate: The battery will remain fully charged for many months before charging is required.
  • Deep Discharge Recovery: Advanced design and composition have greatly improved the batteries ability to recover from excessively deep discharge.
  • Easy Handling: No special handling precautions. AGM batteries are classified as a non-hazardous commodity.
  • High Discharge Rate: Low internal resistance allows discharge currents of up to ten times the rated capacity of the battery.
  • Rugged Construction: The high impact resistance battery cases are made either of non-conductive ABS plastic, polypropylene or styrene. All of these case materials impart great resistance to schlock, vibration, chemicals and heat.
  • Long Service Life: Under normal operating conditions, four or five years dependable service life can be expected in stand-by applications, or between 200-1000 charge/discharge cycles depending on average depth of discharge.

AGM batteries may be discharged over a temperature range of -40 degrees Fahrenheit to +140 degrees Fahrenheit.
